Charles Lewis Hall

Of St. Paul, MN, passed away on December 13, 2023, with his daughters by his side.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ceil; and his daughter, Janet.  He is survived by his children, Gayle (Jim) Johnson, Dan (Kelly) Hall, Leslie (Ej) Mason; and grandchildren, Jake Fay, Kris (Katie) Fay, Andy (Jon) Vollmers, Jillian (Brad) Weitgenant, Riley Hall, Owen, Colton, and Kenzie Mason; great grandchildren, Lizzy and Connor Fay and Mason Weitgenant. 

Charlie started his career as owner of two Mobile Service Stations. He continued to own or manage several other businesses over the next ten years. In 1972 became owner of the Mermaid for the next few decades.

He was involved in the Winter Carnival where he became King Boreas XLVII in 1983. He also was the Chairman of the Centennial Ice Palace in 1986 and  the Chairman of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Ice Palace in 1988.

Charlie’s hobbies included fishing, sailing, horseback riding, bicycling, golf, and he loved gardening.

A memorial will be held on Sunday, 01/14/2024 at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear Lake, MN 55127 with visitation starting at 1:00 PM and a service and time of sharing at 2:30 PM.
