Beloved Father, Grandfather, & Great-Grandfather

Age 90

Passed away peacefully on August 5, 2021, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Joan, and grandson, Brian. Survived by daughters, Diane (Chuck) Ritmire, Cheryl (Mark) Jenkin, Sandy (Bob) Groe, Kim (Chris) Lindberg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Chuck retired from 3M as a corporate scientist. He volunteered for the DNR for many years, taking lake levels throughout the Tri-Lakes area. He also delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. He was active at church, serving as financial secretary and on the board of trustees. Throughout his life Chuck loved being active outdoors, especially with his family – skiing, biking, camping, hiking, swimming, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing. He was intelligent, wise, humble, loving, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Memorial service on October 6, 11:00 am at Hazel Park Congregational Church, 1831 Minnehaha Ave., E. St. Paul. Please note that Covid protocols will be followed. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the church.
