Chelsalee Scott Jacobson, 47 year old resident of Farmington, MN passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Lighthouse Christian Church 3285 144th St. Rosemount MN 55068. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. and lunch will be served following the service.
Chelsa was born August 13, 1976, in Denver, CO, and spent her childhood and teen years in MN and CO.
Chelsa accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal savior as a teenager and has actively been involved in various ministries since then. She served several years as a Youth Pastor using her talents in art, drama and archery as tools for ministry. She has been on several missions’ trips and has spiritual children who are following in her footsteps. Her involvement with Tres Dias, an interdenominational Christian three-day ministry has touched many lives through the various roles she has served in and was also instrumental in the start-up of Vida Nueva, a form of Tres Dias for youth. Chelsa was a teacher at heart and was willing to share her wisdom, skills, and crafts selflessly with anyone willing to learn. Above all, Chelsa’s greatest love and commitment were to being a mom to her son, Kiegan. She lit up everytime she talked about him and was beyond proud of the amazing young man he has become.
Chelsa was a “best” friend to her many friends from all walks of life. She loved hanging out with family and friends, loved talking and was accused of being a chatterbox when she was little. She loved telling knock knock jokes that made no sense and had a highly developed dry sense of wit and humor. Playing games and reminiscing late into the night along with collecting recipes, cooking, crafts and playing practical jokes were all a part of who she was. She was a professional at event planning and decorating and knew how to make every attendee feel special. Chelsa was an avid reader and researcher and was knowledgable about anything you wanted or even didn’t want to know, which served her well in the challenges she faced in life. She managed every single situation with grace and love. She was always giving, loving, present and wise beyond her years. She was a very grateful, positive person who always looked for the good in every situation and person. She was a person of peace, who lived a life of grace and leaves a legacy of faith in her son Kiegan, who is the love of her life and for whom she gave her all.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Kiegan, father Craig Abbott, siblings Dionne (Dale) Algrim, Bandi Wright, Rori Holmes, mother Kathleen Cochran, nieces Morgan & Delaney Algrim, nephew Kurt Wright, Keigan’s father Will Jacobson and many relatives and friends.
Chelsa was preceded in death by her second mother, Stephanie “Stevie” Abbott, grandma Ona Abbott, grandparents Robert “Bob” and Lucy Cochran, aunt Wendy Cochran and cousin Jerry Cochran.
