Qualley, Clayton
Age 90
Died September 22, 2012 at his home in Maplewood in the company of his family. Clayton was born in Hills, Minnesota May 9, 1922.
After graduating from Luverne High School he enlisted in the National Guard and later Served with the Army Air Corps, 345th Bombardment Group in New Guinea, the Philippines and Australia during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge in 1946, Clayton returned home and enrolled at Wisconsin State College, River Falls earning a degree in education. After a long successful teaching career in the St.Paul school system focusing on special education he retired in 1986. Clayton remained active in many community organizations including the DFL and the Maplewood Police Commission.
His loving wife, Bonnie preceded him in death, July 3, 2012. Clayton is survived by five children, Gary (Elizabeth), Tony, Starr Knodle (John), Dana, and Darian; six grandsons, Frank, Brent, Derrick Edge(Thomasine), Dominic (Meredith), Antony (Krupa), Tim; and two great grandchildren, Aidan and Sachin.
