Cletus died peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023, age 93, at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Preceded in death by wife, Helen C.; daughters, Lori Jo Lindsay and Julie Ann Rein; parents, John and Dora; siblings, Dennis, Doris Gleisner, John, LaVonne Poeschl, Mary Jane Schmitz, and Phillip; parents-in-law, Thomas and Hazel Smith; siblings-in-law, Dale (Shorty) Wilkens, Kenneth Carlson, Arnold Stanley, Bernice Askeland, Selmer Akeland, William Smith, Marlene Schramske, Ronald Smith, Gerald Poeschl, Leo Gleisner, Arlene, and Gloria; nephew, Jeffrey Stanley; and nieces, Paulette Land, and Kathi Anne Smith.

He is survived by children, David (Diane Albeck), Gayle (Jerry) Wrisky. Cletus Mike (Jill); son-in-law, James Lindsay; five grandchildren, Cletus Charles (Moonjay) Lindsay, Luke (Rochelle) Wrisky, Amie (Aaron) Fonder, Trevor, and Zoe Rein; great-grandson, Wyatt Wrisky; siblings, Kenneth (Georgia) Rein, Jonelle (Shirley) Rein, Thomas (Linda) Everett, and Kevin (Gail); numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 17, 11:00 A.M. at ST BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 187 West Geranium, St Paul, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial, with honors, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

P.S. Cletus has gone fishing; he’ll be back for deer season with Willie and to meet Bob G. at Swan Lake.
