Cornelius Brusten
Age 92, of St. Paul
WWII Navy Veteran
Passed away surrounded by loving family on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2019. Preceded in death by wife of 67 years, Jeanne; parents, Raymond and Marie; and sister, Eleanor Lorinser. Survived by children, Raymond (Patty), Lynda (Pat) Leach, Karen (Craig) Greeder, Deb (Bill) Rivet, Barb (Lou) Biagi, and Mary (Ken) Morgan; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many relatives and friends.
In life, Cornelius enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, golfing, gardening and auctioning items as an addition source of income. His auctioning and daytime job as a barber, allowed him to provide for his family and enabled his wife Jeanne to stay at home with their children. There are many incredible stories that he told of his many interests. His greatest desire at the end of his life however, was for his family to remain together and to continue the annual get-together as a tradition. Cornelius did his best and it was important for him to express this to his children before he passed away. He will be missed.
