David Berkholz

David Lee Berkholz

Born on April 3, 1955 and went to be with Jesus on May 7, 2023.

David was known as the happy hugger by many. Although he was non-verbal, he had a way of communicating his love for people by his infectious smile and desire to hug everyone he met.

David had resided at Lake Owasso Residence, a Ramsey County facility since 1972. Lake

Owasso was home for David where he had a full life with many thanks to the wonderful staff members and volunteers who cared for him for over 50 years. David attended numerous day programs and the most recent affiliation was with TSE. He enjoyed the special programs at both North Heights Lutheran and St. Odilia Catholic church.

There will be a memorial service for David at Lake Owasso Residence on June 29th at 2 pm.
