Went home to Jesus peacefully, surrounded by his family on Oct. 4, 2016. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Evelyn "Sweets"; daughters, Kris (Jim) Tjader, Carolyn (Paul) Krech, Sharon (Tom) Opsahl, Andrea (Jim) Sprenger; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings. Dave was a tenderhearted and joyful man who provided a very godly influence for his family. Beloved history teacher at Stillwater High School for many years. Memorial service Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or donor's choice.
