David Donnell, age 73, of Birchwood Village, died as a result of injuries sustained in a fall.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Suzanne; children Michelle (Armen) Adzhemyan, Patrick (Shawna) and Christine (Bobby) Sederstrom. He loved to play video games and spend time with his 5 grandchildren: Ashley, Nathan, Logan, Mason and Maverick. David was a dog lover and will be happy to see Trixie, Skipper, Chip, and Chloe. He especially loved his living rescue dog, Jake.
David was preceded in death by Regina Kolske, birth mother; Loretta and Marcus Donnell, adoptive parents; Arline (Friedrich, Donnell) and Ben Whipple, step-parents; and Dorothy (Vilendrer) and Patrick Yarusso, in-laws.
David was a 1969 Stillwater Pony; proudly served ten years in the US Navy as a Signalman and Recruit Basic Training Company Commander at the Great Lakes Naval Station; worked at Conwed Plastics; and as a MN Driver License Examiner. In 2010, David was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. David bravely lived with this disease for 15 years. We want to thank his oncologist, Dr. Balkrishna Jahagirdar, for his excellent care that kept David alive during this time.
