David Ferrie

David Scott Ferrie died unexpectedly on January 16, 2017. He was 29. David was a graduate of St. Croix Lutheran High School in 2005, and studied drawing and illustration at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He was passionate about music and playing his guitar, and his pets, Max, Fuzzy, Ben, Logan, Abby and Ruby. He was a movie and video game enthusiast and lover of comic books and super heroes. David loved being in the kitchen and cooking with family, and eventually turned that passion into his profession.
David was preceded in death by his grandmother, June R. Ferrie and his grandfather, Calvin K. King. He is survived by his parents, David J. and Joyce Ferrie; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Kim Ferrie; nephews Connor and Cameron Johnson; grandmother, Carol King; aunts and uncles, Judy (Hank) Felice, Susan Barry, Nancy (Steve) Vircks, Scott (Debby) King; and many cousins, extended family and friends.
Struggles with depression, anxiety and addiction are only a part of David's story. He will be most fondly remembered as a sensitive, caring and tender-hearted man and fiercely loyal friend.
A celebration of David's life will be 3PM Monday, January 23rd at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 2PM. Memorials preferred to Hazelden Foundation, www.hazelden.org.
