David Harms

David Robert Harms of Somerset, WI, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 23, 2013.

David was born on July 26, 1962 in Algona, IA. After receiving his Bachelors degree in Computer Science, David worked at Preco Laser for 14 years. An avid outdoors man, he enjoyed golf, the rifle range, and snowmobiling. A big sports fan, he loved traveling to Big Ten football and basketball games, watching the Vikings, and cheering for the Twins. His passion for sports fueled his fan support at his niece's and nephew's fast pitch, soccer, and baseball games.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Roxanne (Shackelford) and Robert Harms, grandparents Emily (Stevens) and Virgil Shackelford, and Alice (Springer) and Glenn Harms.

He is survived by one brother, Thomas (Jody) Harms, nieces Alison and Sarah, and nephew Cameron all of Stillwater, MN. Uncles Truman (Elaine) Shackelford of Algona, IA and Maynard (Judy) Shackelford of Deephaven, MN. Cousins Jerry Shackelford of Hornick, IA, Debbie (Brian) Horstman of Fayetville, AR, Jordan (Sara) Shackelford of Port Washington, NY, and Stephanie Shackelford of Deephaven, MN.

Memorial service Friday, March 1, 11:00 A.M. at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1616 W. Olive St, Stillwater, MN. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service with lunch to follow. Memorials preferred to the family.
