Age 89, passed away September 5, 2017
David was born on April 24, 1928 in Stillwater, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mavis Linner; siblings, Billy, Howard, Marsha Chilton, Steve and Frank Phalen; and his sons, baby boy and David Linner II. Dave is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Evie; children, Eric, Kris, Bill (Renee), Karen (Lester Shen) and daughter-in-law, Laurel Linner. He delighted in his grandchildren; Tyler Linner, Greta and Tina Erickson, Natalie and Olivia Shen, Abigail and Andrei Linner. He was a wonderful spouse and a loving and dedicated family man. He was a man of integrity, hard work and he had a great sense of humor. Dave was a veteran of the Korean War, a talented carpenter and wood-worker, and a 12 year volunteer for the Stillwater Fire Department. Memorial service Saturday, September 9, 2017, 10:30 A.M. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 North Fourth Street, Stillwater with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Fairview Hospice, David Linner II Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Minneapolis Community Technical College Foundation and Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater.
