David Lyle Hanson

David "Dave" Hanson, 81, of Shoreview, MN, passed away on May 28, 2024.

He was born in St. Paul, MN, on Oct 18, 1942, to Lyle and Merlyn Hanson of Maplewood, MN. Dave attended Ramsey High School in Roseville MN before joining the Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, Dave briefly worked for NSP before starting a 32-year career with GE as an appliance repair technician. After retirement, Dave enjoyed spending winters "down south" and summers tending to the flowers he planted throughout his yard.

Dave led a life defined by his love of family, fishing, hockey and football (he even grew to appreciate soccer thanks to watching far too many of his grandkids' games).

Dave was preceded in death by parents, Lyle and Merlyn, and his sister Mary Louise Hanson. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mariette; sons Eric (Pat - Alex, Kelsey, Erica) and Mark (Laura - Hayley, Jake, Riley, Claire, Abigail); and brother Keith and Wayne (Myra).

A gathering of friends and family will be held Thursday, June 6, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear Lake, MN 55127.
