Ruch, David A.
Born to Marnie and Dudley Ruch of Minneapolis. He grew up sailing on Lake Harriet and never lost that love. He graduated from the U of M and became the Director of Information Technology for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and later the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
In 1982, he married the love of his life, Mary (nAC.e Wolford), and got two daughters in the deal, Amy Brendmoen (Mike Hahm) and Molly Brendmoen (Bryan Butler). In Dave's words, this was the best thing he ever did.
Dave lead a full and adventurous life including sailboat racing on the St Croix, jazz piano, ballroom dance, travel, reading, canoe trips and learning. Dave was a gentle soul, and though he knew a lot, he always listened.
He will be missed by his wife, daughters and extended family, including his sister, Sally Synhavsky (Arkady), his mother and four grandchildren all of whom brought him joy and a sense of belonging. The family extends gratitude to Dr. Bill Ogden, Dr. Paul Abrahams and the staff at Regions Hospital who cared for Dave over the years. Dave slipped the surly bonds of earth on May 12, 2018.
