David Sagstetter

July 15, 1957 — August 17, 2024

David Donald Sagstetter, 67, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty.

Dave is survived by his wife Judy; his sons Jason (Holly) and Drew (Molly); bonus daughters Anita and Tabitha (Mark); as well as his 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his parents Dennis and Barb; siblings Deborah, Wanda (Garth), Pat (Victoria), and Sue (Roger). Dave loved his family above all else- biological or not.

Dave was known for his unwavering reliability and big heart. His loyalty and dedication showed through in every relationship, as he was always ready to lend a hand and share his knowledge and wisdom. Dave cherished and maintained many relationships with high school friends, former and current co-workers, and his many Shriner companions. His dependability, kindness and innate care for others touched many lives, leaving a legacy of generosity and compassion.

Dave was a collector of useful tools and gadgets, "anything worth having one of, was worth having 2 or maybe 3". He had a zest for life and sense of adventure which he showed through the twinkle in his eye and his mischievous grin. Dave's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of selfless help and teaching will continue to inspire all who knew him.

The family would like to express a deep level of gratitude to Dave's Hospice nurse, Nicole. Nicole was Dave's favorite nurse through this journey and always would "give it to us straight" as Dave preferred. The family deeply appreciates the comfort, care and support you provided Dave as he peacefully left this earth.
