Passed away on January 14, 2008. Deanne was born in Brook Park, MN on April 7, 1938. Deanne and her high school sweetheart, Jon Stratte, were married in Pine City in 1959. She graduated with high distinction from the University of Minnesota, majoring in English and Latin studies. She then taught English at Hopkins High School while Jon attended medical school. Deanne and Jon have lived in Stillwater, MN since1964 enjoying a fulfilling life with close family and friends. Exceptionally talented, Deanne invested her time in numerous creative endeavors. She enjoyed houseboating on the St. Croix River, family ski trips out West and vacations in Mazatlan, Mexico. Above all, family was the most important part of Deanne's life and her biggest joy. A devoted wife, caring mother and doting grandmother, Deanne's love and passion for her family is her enduring legacy. Deanne is survived by her husband, Dr. Jon Stratte, daughters Susan Hall (husband Steve) and Sarah Quickel (husband Dr. Robert), grandchildren Maclaren, Madeline and Braden Hall; and Lauren and Blake Quickel; Sisters Geri and Faye. Diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension in 1979, Deanne long outlived her prognosis by over two decades. Memorial Service Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6201 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater.
