Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, age 75, Delores Jeanette Sauey was born April 1, 1933 in Kennan, WI, the eighth of nine children born to Ole and Mathilda Sauey. She graduated valedictorian from Phillips High School and went on to attend Stout State College where she graduated with a degree in Home Economics in Reedsburg, WI and married Kenneth Rieck on July 7, 1956. In 1960, they moved to White Bear Lake, MN and welcomed their first child, Linda Marie. Five years later, they welcomed their second child, David Kenneth. Throughout the years, Delores was active in many different activities including church choirs and committees, 4-H and Phi Upsilon Omicron. She also taught adult education for many years. Family and friends meant everything to Delores, and she spent many hours cooking, entertaining and serving others. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and many looked forward to her homemade Christmas cards every year. As her family expanded to include son-in-law, Craig and daughter-in-law Diana, so did her love of family. In later years, her four grandchildren- Katherine Diana, Lindsey Mary, Lydia Marie and Christopher David, became her pride and joy. She spent many hours with all of them, creating many special memories. Delores' life touched so very many people, she will be missed greatly by all. Her love for the Lord shone constantly to all around her and was always her source of strength and encouragement. We will always cherish our memories of her hospitality, her love for family and friends and her love for the Lord.
