Denise Doty

Age 59, of Lakeland, Minnesota passed away Thursday December 16, 2021 due to complications from Covid. She was a fighter, and she fought hard in the ICU for 49 days before her passing.

Denise was born December 13th, 1962 in Winona, Minnesota to Wiley Gustave Doty and Marlene Volkman.

Denise attended Fridley High school and Hamline University to learn Spanish and Education, and went on to teach Spanish to the students of Hazel Park Preparatory Academy. She also traveled the world, living in Japan, Spain, Colombia, and Germany throughout her lifetime. She brought her sparkling personality to everything she did. She had a heart of gold and always did everything she could for her family. Denise loved life.

Denise is survived by her mother, Marlene Volkman, her sisters Tami (Michael) Holsten and Darcie Grim, her brother Doug Doty, her three loving sons Brennen, Adam (Chelsey), and Spencer, along with two grandsons Tobias and Flynn, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Wiley Gustave Doty.
