Devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Passed away peacefully at his home in Stillwater, MN, after a heroic nine year battle with cancer, on September 5, 2013, age 64. Preceded in death by parents, Cornelius and Cecelia (Sullivan). Survived by loving wife, Catherine; daughter, Shea (Christopher) Eliasen, St. Paul, MN: son, Cornelius "Neil" (Amy), Durango, CO; grandchildren, Catherine "Cates", Madeline "Mia", Aiden and Claire; siblings, Kathleen (Donald) Sayles, Sheila (Michael) Dalton, Michael (Linda), Maureen (Robert) Eme, Theresa (Ralph ) Mansfield, Pat (Candice), and Mary Margaret "Peggy" (Bruce) Jeffries.
Dennis was raised in Iowa City. He received degrees from Regina High School, University of Iowa, and Creighton University. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry for Syntex Laboratories and Glaxo SmithKlein Pharmaceuticals.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, September 9, 11:00 A.M. at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 423 South 5th Street, Stillwater, MN. Burial Rutherford Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Center for Irish Music, St. Paul, MN or Lakeview Hospice, Stillwater, MN.
