Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ellen Lennartson; beloved brothers, Walter, Robert, Roger, Allen, Elmer; beloved sister-in-law, Phylis Barker; beloved grandson, Dylan Stark, and nephew, David. Survived by his loving wife, Marie (Butch) of 45 years; daughter, Melissa (Troy)Lee; step-son, Scott Stark (Karen Yavis); and his pride-and-joy granddaughter, Emily Lee. He was constantly scheming to tease her. They had a relationship that was pure love (and hate as she, a Packer fan and he, a Vikings fan); sisters-in-law, Lois, Lindus, Marcella, Shirley, and many nephews and nieces. He was loved by many life-long friends. Graduated from Esko High School and the U of M. He was drafted 2 weeks after college to serve in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. A 41-year employee of the MN Department of Public Safety, he received numerous awards and was presented with a "wizard" license plate. He will be remembered for his love of family, beautiful gardens, witty sense of humor, and never-ending loyalty to the Minnesota Vikings. Rest in peace, my love. Service Saturday, August 25, 12:00 P.M. at Bethany Evangelical Covenant Church, 6490 Stillwater Blvd. Stillwater, MN 55082. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Bethany Covenant Church, Stillwater, MN.
