Lindquist, Diana Lynn, age 65, of Forest Lake, MN, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on July 27 th 2019, after a courageous battle against Stage 4 Glioblastoma.
Diana was born on May 13 th , 1954 in St. Paul, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Vernon Evers; and brother Vernon “Butch” Evers. Diana is survived by her loving family; husband of 47 years, Tom; children, Jamie, TJ (Bogusia), and Missy (Derek Vaughn); grandchildren Noah, Grace, Vivienne, George, and one due in December; additional family members and friends.
Known for her infectious smile which always adorned her beautiful face, kind heart, generous spirit, sense of humor, and creativity. She had a gift for making people around her feel loved and welcomed in her presence. Diana had a passion for traveling, gardening, quilting, baking and spending quality time with family. Diana spent two years teaching English in Japan while her husband was stationed there serving in the Air Force. Diana chose to go to night school while working a full-time job and raising a family at home, because having an education was important to her. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University. Diana worked for 23 years with Hennepin County in various positions, most recently as an IT Asset Manager.
A Hawaiian themed Celebration of Diana’s Life will be held on Friday, August 2nd , 2019 at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Dr., White Bear Lake at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM, and reception immediately after the service. Guests are asked to wear Hawaiian or colorful attire.
Diana graciously donated her body to the U of MN for education and research within the medical school. If you wish to send flowers to the funeral home, please ensure there are NO LILIES included in the arrangement due to a severity of allergies.
