Dianne Abbott

Dianne Kay Abbott of Oakdale, formally of White Bear Lake, MN, died peacefully on Dec 26, 2022 at the age of 77.

Dianne was born to Wendell and Margaret Alinder and grew up in Kandiyohi, MN, graduating from Willmar High School.  She was a pioneer in the workplace, putting herself through school and obtaining a computer science degree from 916 Vo-Tech.  She had a successful career in the technology field, retiring from US Bank.  She loved bowling with friends and spending time at the casino and Mille Lacs Lake. Dianne loved birds, especially loons, and enjoyed watching the chickadees and humming birds from her window.

Preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Lutz, brother Kevin Alinder, and sister Barbara Theget.

Survived by sons John and Jim (Beth), and eight grandchildren Emma (Michael), Josh, Kaylee, Stefan, Sydney, Eli, Anders and Sam, sisters Carolyn (Bob) Elkjer, Ardis Au, brother Dean (Marlys) Alinder and sister-in-law Cheryl Alinder.

A gathering of friends and family will be held in late spring or early summer of 2023.  Details to follow.
