of Minneapolis died at the age of 90 on November 30. Dolores was born in Pine City, MN, on September 10, 1918 to Anna (Shambauer) Plessel and William Plessel. Dolores is preceded in death by loving husband Leonard. She is also predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-laws William (Genevieve), Adolph (Emily), John (Virginia), Fred (Loraine) and Leonard (Phyllis) and by sister and brother-in-law Marie (Raymond) Dennis, and brothers-in-law Carl Poeschl and Ted Pederson. Dolores is survived by four children: Son David and his wife Kathryn Pederson, Brooklyn Park, MN, and their children Michael, Debra (Christopher) Smythurst, Rebecca (Greg) Miller, and Lisa (Greg) Hanson; daughter Joyce and her husband Kermit Roberg, Venice, FL, and their children Kecia (John) Carroll, Kristin (Daniel) Hummel, and Kara (Matthew) Dodds; son Dennis and his wife Julianne Pederson, Stillwater, MN; and daughter Diane Pederson, Evergreen, CO. Dolores is also survived by her sister Marcelle Poeschl, sister-in-law Ethel Pederson and by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.





Dolores will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She was a dear friend to many, a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother and has also been called the Best Mother-in-law in the whole wide world! Not many can achieve that tribute in their lifetime. Dolores had a deep Christian faith that shone through in all she did. She was a long time active member of Bethany Lutheran Church and an original "Norwegian Lutheran Church Basement Lady" there (except she was Bohemian!) and she was a 20+ year volunteer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Dolores lived in Minneapolis throughout her married life and was recently a resident at Walker Methodist Care Center. It was her desire to have a private funeral at Ft. Snelling Cemetery attended by immediate family and she will be honored with a Memorial Service at a later date.
