Donald Leslie Auld

Don was born on November 23, 1939, and passed away on July 26, 2024 holding his wife's hand surrounded by family. Don spent his career as a teacher in the Roseville Area Public School District. During summers he, along with his industrial arts colleagues, helped build each other's houses and do what they enjoyed the most. Don took it one step further and helped build his children's houses. Don loved spending time outdoors and loved both winter and summer activities. After retirement, he and Dede always found time to watch their grandchildren participate in a variety of activities. They never missed an opportunity to be around family. Don was a humble man of God that was a great example for everyone around him. Don loved his wife, and the two of them could always be found by each other's side. They often could be found sitting at their spot by the St. Croix River watching the boats pass through downtown Stillwater.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Myrtle Auld; sister, Carol Sim; and brothers, James and Robert.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Deanna "Dede"; children, Douglas (Dawn), Denise (Ricky) Michel, and Dennis (Susan); brother, Richard (Bonnie) Auld; grandchildren, Richelle (Jason) Bartlett, Daniel (Lindsay), Clayton (Shannon), Mitchell (Haley), Kincaid, Alexis, Brett (Anne) Michel, Drew Michel, Afton Michel, Alex (Adrienne), Brianna, and Colette (Aaron) Tischman; 18 great-grandchildren; and other family.

Funeral Service 11am Friday, August 2nd at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood. The family would like to thank Oak Park Senior Living Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice staff for their care and support.
