He was the strength of our family. Preceded in death by infant son, Dennis; mother, Helen Black. Survived by wife of 59 years, Dolores; children, Denise Ervin and Donald S. (Barb) Ervin; grandchildren, Deb Ervin, Sam Miller, Brandon Ervin, and Brianna (Seth) Brickley. Retired US Navy, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was guided by his faith throughout his life as a devoted man of God. Service Monday, June 1, 6:30 P.M. at CORNERSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH, 650 Wild Wood Road, Mahtomedi. Visitation 5-6:30 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Burial Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Minneapolis Veterans Home.
