Donald E. Hove

Donald "Don" Hove, age 83 of Oakdale, passed away peacefully September 14, 2023. Don was a respected member of the community and embodied a spirit of service: 6 years in the Army Reserve; 30+ year career at West St Paul and East County Line Fire Depts; and many years volunteering at church and Habitat for Humanity. He could fix just about anything, and had the tools to do it. Don enjoyed sports, hunting, and wintering in Naples, FL. Above all, family was most important to Don. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Phyllis; son, Daniel; and brothers, Richard and Eugene. He will be deeply missed by those who survive him: wife Nancy of 65 years; children, Linda (Frank) Maxwell, David (Heidi) Hove; daughter-in-law, Patsy Hove; sisters, Ida Unser and Karen (Clay) Morlok; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon), Heather, Chris (Stefanie), Brittany (Andrew), Benjamin, Courtney, Emma, Jake, Kylie; and great-grandchildren, Victoria, Tyler, Madison, Gabriella, and Kinsley.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at GETHSEMANE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2410 Stillwater Road E, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials to Gethsemane preferred.
