Born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 8, l929. Passed away peacefully February 26, 2012. After being an All American at Tulane University and later inducted into Tulane's Hall of Fame, Don went on to a prestigious 12 year National Football League career with the Chicago Cardinals, Baltimore Colts where the team won back to back World Championships, Minnesota Vikings (expansion team) and Denver Broncos. Don also wrestled professionally in the off season and later became a professional football scout for over 30 years, the last ten as head scout for the Indianapolis Colts. Preceded in death by parents James and Frances Joyce, brother James Joyce, sister Patricia Dennis, and beloved son Bobby Joyce. Survived by loving wife, Sherri (Booth); children, Cathy Joyce, Don Joyce, Jr. (Bonita), Carrin Mahmood (Craig); grandchildren, Stephanie, Sunny, Jessica, Brandon, Danielle, Alli, Taylor, and James; great grandchildren, Ashley and Eden. Funeral Service Friday, March 2, 11:00 a.m. at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. Visitation two hours prior to service.
