Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 26, 2012. Born on June 8, 1931. Preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Clara Newman and sister, Dorethy. Survived by his lovely wife of 60 years, Catherine Newman and sons, David, James (Susan) and John; siblings Darlene Harris, Dean (Linda), Diane (Darrell) Moe, Danny (Nancy) and Donna (David) Redman; grandchildren, Lisa, William, Mary Jo, Tina, Donald, Sarah and Serenity; great-grandchildren Danny, Lexi, Tyler and Taylor; many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Donald worked for Standard Conveyor for 30 years then moved on to Gerbitz Woodshop from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing and hunting every chance he had. He had a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around. You never knew what would come out of his mouth. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. A gathering in his memory will be held on Wednesday, August 29th from 5-8PM. Service Thursday, August 30th at 11:00AM with visitation 1 hour prior at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW Corner of Hwy 36 & Co. Rd 5), Stillwater. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery.
