Doris "Dora" Lorraine Metty

Age 47 of Excelsior, MN, passed away on March 10, 2024.

Doris came into the Metty family as a foster child and was eventually adopted by loving parents Lyle and Arlene Metty.

Doris was independent and at about 18, decided she was ready to make her own path in life. She struck out on her own to make her own decisions for how her life would play out. As with all of us, some of these decisions were good, and some not so good.

Doris was a loving mother to her four children. She worked hard, mainly in the fast food industry. A few years prior to her passing she was in a car accident which left her disabled for the remainder of her life.

Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene.

She is survived by her four children, Shay, Haley, Levi (Martessa), and Amber; her father, Lyle; seven grandchildren; and countless more friends and loved ones.

Funeral services for Doris Metty will be held on Sunday, March 17th at 3:00 PM at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street) with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
