Dorothy "Dotsy" A. Marty (nee Schiltgen)

Age 92 of Lake Elmo

Passed away peacefully in her home of 66 years on January 31, 2024.

Dotsy is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Donald W. Marty; parents, Frank & Alice Schiltgen; brothers, Fritzie & Jack Schiltgen; and sisters, Lois Schiltz and Dolly Andreotti.

Dotsy is survived by her children, Steven (Leah) Marty, Donald (Margaret) Marty, James (Amy) Marty, Joni Marty (Bill Bevins), and Julie (Todd) Groess; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-children; brother, Jim (Mary Ellen) Schiltgen; and many special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Dotsy was a devout catholic and active in her parish of Guardian Angels Catholic Church. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling and golfing, winning more trophies than all of her children combined. She played cards her entire life, up until 4 days before she passed. Dotsy enjoyed watching the many birds that visited her backyard bird feeders. She camped and fished with Don, often times "out fishing" her husband. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family first.
