Died December 29, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and John; son, Daniel. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerome; children, Charlene (Jim) Anderson, Karen Anderson and David Sr.; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Danielle (Nat), Jonathan, Lindsey, Joe, and David Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Staci and Buddy; brothers, Rodger, Dennis (Donna), Timothy (Derreen), Patrick and Terrance (Cheryl); sister, Wanda Kelly; Marson cousins; best friends, Jane Swoboda, Matt and Sherry Lang and many wonderful friends at Schroeder's Restaurant and Bar; many nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy lived and died believing in Jesus Christ. She was a go-getter and loved education. She became a certified nursing assistant working in hospitals, nursing homes and in the field. She was an outgoing person and loved people. Jerry and Dorothy went to the same school and lived in the same neighborhood. When Jerry saw her he thought he would never be good enough. To his surprise they were united in marriage on April 25, 1953. A very special thank you to the cancer doctors at St. John's and St. Joseph's Hospitals who extended her life almost 5 years. Memorials Preferred. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM, Tuesday, January 3 at the CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD, 187 West Geranium. Visitation 5 to 8 PM, Monday, January 2 at Bradshaw, 1078 Rice at Magnolia and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
