Preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents, Henry and Alice Heywood; son, Thomas; and grandchild, Roxanne Rogosheske. Survived by sons, James (Marne), Mark (Marsha), Paul (Chris); daughter, MaryAlice (Stoehr) McLean (Tim); 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was the great-grandchild of Joseph Sartell, founder of the town of Sartell. Dorothy lived an abundant, full, and religious life. She was a faithful volunteer at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls and Pilgrim Lutheran Church in St. Paul. She immersed herself wholeheartedly in the Lutheran Mission to re-settle her dear friends, the Hmong. Dorothy was active in MN Lawyer Wives, and some say, was perhaps the strong argument of her husband's opinions from the MN Supreme Court. She brought the first Foreign Exchange Student, Inka to Little Falls. She truly believed her mission in life was to serve others. Service Monday, 5:00 P.M. at PILGRIM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1935 St. Clair Avenue. Interment Oakhill Cemetery, Sartell, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
