Dorothy Mae Travaille

Age 93 of Roseville passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. Dorothy was born May 10, 1931, to Arthur Emanuel Lundberg and Hilma Marie Carlson Lundberg in St. Paul, MN. Dorothy graduated from Minnehaha Academy, and married Allen Richard Travaille on August 23, 1952 in St. Paul. Dorothy happily served with her husband, Rev. Allen Travaille in churches in Warman, MN, Forest Lake, MN, Hutchinson, MN, Waterloo, IA, Alexandria, MN, Saint Croix, VI, Sun Prairie, SD, Long Prairie, MN and Bertram, MN. She often played the piano, taught children in Sunday school, was involved in many Bible studies and church activities. Among her part-time jobs, she worked in nursing home kitchens in MN and SD. Dorothy was an outstanding homemaker and care giver. She loved to cook, sew, quilt and entertain in addition to having missionaries overnight. She especially enjoyed baking varieties of Christmas cookies for her gatherings at their home during the holidays. Dorothy was a member of Grace Church, Alexandria, MN, and the Graceful Quilters.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Helen.

She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Allen, children Jayne (Don) Keiser, Tim, Laurie (Don) Skelly; grandchildren Kristel(Heath) Wetjen, Levi(Chelsey) Skelly, Kasey(Cory) Heuschkel; great grandchildren Ella, Kaitlyn, Myah, Laurelai, and Suraj; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at EagleCrest Assisted Living, 2945 Lincoln Dr., Roseville on Thursday, August 15 at 1:30, with a visitation beginning at 12:30. Memorials may be directed to Grace Church, 1704 Hazel Rd., Alexandria, MN.
