Passed away peacefully on January 21, 2011, surrounded by his family after a nearly 7 year battle with cancer. Survived by wife Roberta "Bobbi", his two children, son Doug (Sarah) Olson and daughter Jolaine (Kelly) Swanson. Seven grandchildren; Kathryn, Lillian, Cooper and Finton Olson, and Rebecca, Jake and Zacheriah Swanson. Survived by sisters; Sharon Bridgman and Diane (David) Stewart, and by brothers; John (Barbara) Olson and Randall (Mary) Olson.
Preceded in death by his parents Everett and Kathryn Olson and sister Maxine Larson. Born in St. Paul, MN Doug served in the United States Navy, former CEO of Pioneer Power, Inc., and member of Rockpoint Church. Funeral service Friday, January 28th at 11:00 A.M. at ROCKPOINT CHURCH, 5825 Kelvin Ave N., Lake Elmo, MN. Visitation Thursday, January 27th, 4-7 P.M. at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Cty Rd 5), Stillwater, MN, as well as one hour prior to service at the church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Rockpoint Church.
