Age 76, of Stillwater, MN, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2020. Born on January 5, 1944, and raised in Marmarth, North Dakota, Dudley was a gentle soul with a warm-heart. He often expressed his quirky sense of humor through an earnest laugh and a slap of his palms. He loved to joke, tease and could always lighten the mood. Dudley enjoyed watching the Twins play ball, planting trees and testing his luck at five-card draw. He was a family man who enjoyed the company of his three boys and close relatives. Moving to Minnesota never quite made sense for a man whose sole weakness was frostbite, but it was clear why he stayed. A devoted husband to his late beloved wife of 38 years, Michelle, together they grew their lives and family in this bold north state. Dudley was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and neighbor. He will be deeply missed by sons Michael (Kate), Joseph (Shannon), Jeffrey (Kathryn) and daughter Tara (Nathan); grandchildren Lucy, Betsy, Erin (David), Chris (Leigh An), and Brenden; great-grandchildren Sean and Aubrey.
A celebration of Dudley’s life will be Saturday, February 8 from 1-3pm at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater.
