Earl J. Plattner, Sr.
Age 77, of Osceola, WI, formerly of Stillwater, passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife. Preceded in death by 1st wife, Shirley; parents, Richard and Jeanette; brothers, Virgil, Dale, Richard, Jr., Warren “Chuck”, and Stephen; and sister, Sally Campeau.
He will be sadly missed by wife, Carole; children, Earl, Jr. (Jessica), Elizabeth (Chad) Bengtson; step-daughters, Rachael Tanberg and Christine Mammenga; grandchildren, Ginna Mammenga, Neveah Bengtson, Katherine Tanberg, Christopher Mammenga, Triton Bengtson, Finneus Plattner, Kinley Plattner and Ellamay Campbell; many nieces, nephews other family and friends.
Earl had an unshakable faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now resting in peace in the arms of his Savior. He was an active member of Salem Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran (Osceola) churches. Earl delivered beer for 20 plus years and then went on to work for the City of Stillwater retiring after 24 years of employment. He was a Lutheran Pioneer Buckaroo Leader, and Firearm and Hunter Education Instructor. Earl’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and bird watching and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be Saturday, November 16, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 Seminole Avenue, Osceola, WI. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 15, 2019, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at SALEM EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 14940 – 62ND Street North, Stillwater and also one hour prior to the service at Trinity Lutheran. Private interment Salem Cemetery.
