Earl Tolan

Earl Tolan, age 87 of Minneapolis, died July 23, 2021. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Barbara; children, David, Douglas, Jody (Ann Vetch); grandchildren, Shawn, Joy (Vince Corral);  Alaina (Charles); great-grandchildren, Kylie, Logan, Skylar; many nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

A machinist by trade, Earl retired from North Star Metals and enjoyed his retirement by hunting, fishing, and cultivating his flower garden. Earl was enlisted as an Army 82nd airborne paratrooper and was honorably discharged many years later. He especially relished trips to the cabin in Brainerd, which he built himself. He was a devoted grandfather and parent, and cherished his wife, Barbara.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday, July 30, 2021 at MINNEHAHA COMMUNION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4101 37th Avenue South, Minneapolis, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
