Age 101 of Lake Elmo
Passed away on September 7, 2024 at St. Croix Health and Rehab in New Richmond, WI. Earle served in the Navy as a pilot for 6 years. During that time, he flew missions in the Pacific during WWII. He worked for Swift & Co in South St. Paul for 28 years. Following that, he worked at Harmon Glass until he retired in 1988. Earle was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He went deer hunting every year in Orr, MN until the age of 90. He kept himself busy with bowling, rock club, coin collecting, and metal detecting. He sang in choir with his wife, Freya, and they always enjoyed music together. He was an active member of First United Methodist in Stillwater.
Earle is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Freya; parents, Leonard and Effie Kask; brother, Glen; son-in-law, Theodore.
He is survived by his children, Pamela Benson, Karen (Max) de Freitas, Gerald "Jerry"; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Garza and Allen "Bud"; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service 11am Saturday, September 14th at First United Methodist Church, 813 Myrtle St W, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls, MN.
