Saastad, Edith Ann (Kludtke)
Age 61, of Somerset, WI, passed away October 5, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard, Sr. and Frances Kludtke. Survived by husband, Mark; brother, Leonard, Jr. (Susan) Kludtke Kludtke; & nieces, Erica & Alissa, Aunt Margaret, cousins, and friends. Edith was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater. She graduated from Somerset High School in 1969. During her high school and college years, she worked as a waitress at the Lowell Inn in Stillwater and Rivers Edge in Somerset, WI. She was a graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. On December 19, 1987, Edith married Mark Saastad. She was a Tupperware dealer for 21 years, and a Tupperware manager at one point in her career. Meeting new people and sharing her knowledge of the business brought pleasure. In addition to being a Tupperware dealer, for the past year, she worked at The Apollo Corporation in Somerset, WI. She was involved with the Prayer Shawl Ministries at St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Garden Club at Christ Lutheran Church in Somerset. She enjoyed gardening, canning with friends, caring for her cats, knitting, meeting friends for coffee, and looking after her beloved Aunt Margaret. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012, 1 PM with visitation beginning at noon at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co. Rd. 5), Stillwater. Interment Emmanuel Cemetery, Somerset, WI.
