Jasperson, Eileen E (nee Lee) died peacefully at the age of 80 on March 15, 2003 in Luck, WI in her lovely room at the United Pioneer Home in the care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. and her sister, Estella Krog. She will be sadly missed by her chilren, Lynne Schauls (Gary) of Luck, WI, Linda Leng (John) of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Rae Jaspersen, Mpls., Richard, Mpls, Douglas, Ayer, MA. Also left behind are 6 grandchildren, Barbara Arndt (Wayne), Brigette Wilson (Orin), Jennifer, Janette, Sally and Hillary Schauls and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Michael Arndt. Eileen was one of four children and she is surved by her brother, Harland Lee (Bobbi) and her sister, Clarice Scott (Raymond). She will also be sorely missed by the caring staff of the United Pioneer Home where she spent three and one-half happy years. Eileen was born in Lake Benton, MN on January 11, 1923 to Marie and Henry Lee. She attended school in Lake Benton. Upon graduation, she attended business college in Fargo, ND and eventually entered the United States Navy to become a WAVE. She proudly served her country during WWII. Eileen was a devoted employee of the Minneapolis Public Schools as a school secretary for many years. She very much enjoyed her employment at Hiawatha Elementary School and had a caring spot in her heart for all the children that she came in contact with. She was active in the Girl Scouts and PTA shile her children were growing up. Eileen was a long-time member of St. Peder's Lutheran Church, Mpls. She participated in many committee activities while an active member of that church and could be called upon at any time to help out whenever there was a need. A memorial service will be held for Eileen Jaspersen on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 11 AM at St. Peder's Lutheran Church, 4600 E 42nd St., Mpls. A private burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery with full military honors will precede the service at 10 am.
