Krueger, Elaine Ruth Riess
Age 65, of Stillwater, died on April 3. Born in Wheaton MN on November 25, 1947, she attended District #44 in Traverse County (a one-room school now on the National List of Historic Landmarks). A graduate of Tintah High School and Concordia College, Moorhead. Employed by Minnesota Work Force Center in the Twin Cities for 37 years. Travelled the world, played bridge, golf, piano and saxophone, loved nature, books, movies, theatre, music, sports. The Number One Fan at family events, she created gifts of art and fashion in thread and yarn. A superlative daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend and colleague, Elaine leaves a legacy of rare tolerance, generosity, and delight. Survived by sister Nancy (Melvin Rappaport), brother Allen (Margaret), sister-in-law Joyce Riess, nieces Kimberly O'Connor (Kevin) and Patricia Kubicka (Richard), nephews Jason (Gabrielle), Adam and Eric Riess, five grand-nieces and nephews, one great-grand niece, and friends throughout the world. Preceded in death by husband Allen, parents Merle and Norma, twin sister Eileen, brother David and wife Maggie, nephew Bryan Riess and brother-in-law Larry Krueger. Her family thanks the Lakeview Oncology Group and The Gathering. Celebration of Life on Monday, May 13 at 11am (visitation one hour prior) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 4th Street North, Stillwater. Wear joyous attire! In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Relay for Life and Valley Outreach, both of Stillwater.
