Passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2017. Born in the Town of Grant on June 10, 1923 to Rollyn B. and Elma E. Powell. Married Borge B. Thomsen, Sr. on April 6, 1942. Preceded in death by parents, Rollyn and Elma; husband, Borge; brother, Stephen Powell; sons, Borge Jr. and Victor. Survived by seven children, Elaine (Keith) Moon, Happy (Joan) Thomsen, Victoria VanMeier, Timothy (Shirley) Thomsen, Jeffrey (Patricia) Thomsen, Ted (Maureen) Thomsen, and Mandy (Bill) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Violet Thomsen; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren. Elaine was a long time active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Service Sunday, 3:00 P.M. at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 609 South Fifth Street, Stillwater. Visitation 1-3 P.M. Lunch to follow. Private burial at later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
