Survived by brothers, Clarence "Butch" Ulrich (Rose) and Winifred "Popeye" Ulrich (Hazel); daughters, Pat Ponath and Virginia Ritzer (Jack); so, Judd Cates; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Leroy; daughters, DeLila Evert and Audrey Cates; daughter-in-law, Julie Cates; 2 sisters, Adeline Hall and Louise Johnson; and four brothers, Rudy, Walter, Lenny and Reuben Ulrich. Elsie spent many years of her life dedicated to caring for others as a practical nurse, baby-sitter and friend. She grew up on a farm and knew about hard work. She died peacefully at Stillwater Good Samaritan Care Center at 8:15PM on Sunday, September 7, 2003, enthusiastically going to meet those who had gone before and eager to enter to her eternal rest with her Savior. The family wishes to express many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Good Sam for their "TLC" for our Mom - especially Loretta, Donna, Joanne, Marivie, Jill, Michelle. Sue and so many, many others too numerous to name. Service Wednesday 11:00AM at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 609 South Fifth Street. Interment Fairview Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stillwater or Stillwater Good Samaritan.
