Eric Bruce Hanssen

Eric Bruce Hanssen, age 43 of Maple Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Hanssen; grandparents, Samuel and Charlotte Nooger, Kenneth Murry, Marjorie Murry; uncles, John Hanssen, Neil Hanssen; cousin, Christi Mendoza. 

Eric leaves behind a grieving circle of family and friends who will deeply miss him. Among those who survive him are his mother, Raylene Hanssen; sister Heather Hanssen (Orlando Brown); cherished niece Destiny Brown; beloved nephew Ja’Qai Brown; dog niece Sage; cat niece Meadow; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Eric had a love for the outdoors like no one else. He enjoyed boating on the lake, camping, sitting around the campfire, fishing, ice fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family. Eric was truly loved by so many, and we will find comfort that he is resting in eternal peace with his father.

Visitation will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Bradshaw, 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South, Minneapolis, with a time of sharing at 2:00pm. Please come with stories and memories to share with Eric’s family. A celebration of life reception will follow the service from 3-6pm at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2507 East 25^th Street, Minneapolis.
