Eric Klein passed away peacefully, surrounded by his immediate and extended family at about 11:30AM on November 27, 2011 after over a year old battle with a rare form of lymphoma. Eric owned and operated the 31 year old company Klein Carpet Cleaning which he began with a mop and a bucket and developed to serve 3,000 customers. Eric was very pleased that his son Matthew returned home to take over his business. More recently, he added a shift at United Parcel Service to his workday. A native New Yorker, he attended public schools in Bethpage, Long Island, attended Concordia Junior College in Bronxville, New York and graduated later from Concordia college, St. Paul where he later made his home. He served a term of service in the US Navy, on the USS Enterprise, deployed to the Gulf of Tonkin during the war in Viet Nam. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 25 years, Morva; his son Matthew, daughter Marissa; his granddaughter April, grandsons Isaiah and Peter, and his sisters Judith Erdmann of St Paul, Linda Klein and Lydia Klein of Rockford, Illinois. Service Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 South Snelling Avenue. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 5-8 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 678 South Snelling at Eleanor and also one hour prior to the service at church.
