age 94 of Stillwater. Went home to Jesus and beloved family members and dfriends March 15, 2004. Esther was preceded in death by her five breothers and two sisters and husband Francis. She is survived by daughter Yvonne (Bob) Hohe, Watkinsville, GA, daughter Margaret ( Bruce) Setter of Stillwater, MN and grandchildren Van Hohe, Kristine Setter, and Peder. She graduated from Granville High School then taught country school. Later she attended Minot State Teachers; College and North Dakota State University from which she graduated with honors. During her college years she took time off from school and wored as a nanny for both the Nash family and the Dayton family in Minneapolis. After graduating from college Esther taught high school math and English. While teaching in Langford, SD she met her future husband Francis Puntine. They were married in January 1943 prior to Francis departed overseas in WWII. After the war they lived in several ND Towns in some of which Esther taught school. After settling in Minot, ND, she taught at various schools in the area as a substitute and long-term replacement teacher. Esther was active in her church, Vincent United Methodist, Minot, teaching Sunday school and serving in various capacities in the UM Women's group. Subsequent to the death of her husband in 1998 Esther moved to Stillwater, to be closer to her family. The last two and a half years she had been a resident at Greeley Healthcare Center where she died peacefully in her sleep. Esther will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, at 2:00 pm at WayCross Evangelical Church, 7733 West River Rd, Brooklyn Park. Private interment will be at Granville Cemetery.
