Age 86, of Stillwater, w ent peacefully to his savior surrounded by family
Preceded in death by wife, Ruth; daughter, Julie Hawkinson; and parents, Leonard and Leona Hawkinson. Survived by children, Heidi (Craig) Koehnen, Stillwater, Kristian (Joan) Hawkinson, Hubert, North Carolina; grandchildren, Liesl (William Dokken) Koehnen, St Paul, Harrison (Ashley) Koehnen, Town of St Joseph, WI, Brita Koehnen (fiancé, Vernon Newman) Moorhead, Joshua Hopfer, Boynton Beach, FL; great-grandchildren, Ruthann & Gweneth Koehnen, Adam McMullen, Fort Benning, GA; siblings, Robert (Janet) Hawkinson, North St Paul, Drucilla (Mihail) Ticiu, Inver Grove Heights; brother-in-law, David (Mary) Lindstrom, Green Bay, WI.
A graduate of North St Paul High School and the University of Minnesota. He served as a Sargent in the 4th Armored Division in the United States Army. He retired from a 33-year career with 3M in 1996. Member of the EAA Chapter 54.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Boutwells Landing & Lakeview Hospice for their loving care.
Service Monday, September 27, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Boutwells Landing Chaplin program, Lakeview Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
