Of Mahtomedi, formerly of Minnetonka. Faye died peacefully Palm Sunday surrounded by family. She is survived by 2 sons - John (Ruth Hogenson-Rutford) of Stillwater and Matt (Colleen Whaley Hogenson) of Minnetonka. Her grandchildren were very important people in her life: Kelly (Brian) McKenzie, Dennis (Stephanie) Hogenson, Jana Hogenson, Kate Hogenson and Matt Hogenson. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters. Faye grew up in the Spicer, MN area and spent most of her life in the Twin Cities. She graduated from U of M and received her Masters plus 60, graduating with honors. She was a special ed teacher in St. Louis Park School District, also served as the president of the Park Schools Teacher's Union. She loved the North Shore and had 2 cabins in Grand Marais. Most of all, she was known for her wittiness as well as being honest, hard-working and purposeful. Memorial service Wednesday 11am at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Rd, Mahtomedi, MN 55115. Visitation 1 hour before the service at St. Andrew's. Lunch follows service, private interment in Spicer, MN. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to St. Andrew's Village Benevolence Fund.
