Frances Bussman

Long time resident of St. Paul. Frances Ellen Goff-Bussman passed away at Presbyterian Nursing Home, Arden Hills, on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. She was 87. Frances was born to John L. & Ardry W. Goff on August 29, 1923.

She attended St Paul 's Central High School and Hamline University; graduating in 1945 with a degree in social work. Upon graduation she began working for Hennepin County Social Services. She received her masters Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio , Texas . She returned to Hennepin County and continued working, assisting and caring for countless numbers of Hennepin residents until her retirement in 1985, after 40 years of service.

In 1994 Frannie married lifetime friend from Hamline University , William Bussman. They lived between Houston ,Texas and St. Paul, Minnesota until 2000, when they settled back into the Goff family home on Fairview Ave where Frannie grew up with her parents and brother John.

Frannie spent a lifetime giving generously of herself to her family, friends, and community. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, her brother, Dr John Robert Goff, niece Judy Goff Maurer (James), niece Georgia Goff Hartman (Robert), nephew John Tainter Goff (Elisabeth), and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ardry.

Memorial Service Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at MESSIAH EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 1631 Ford Pkway, St. Paul with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
