Sattervall Jr, Frank R, entered the world on May 20,1932. Over the next 91
years he became a lover of life and people, never remaining a stranger for
long. No matter who you were he was interested in what you had to say
and would start a friendship. From his early days throughout his life, faith,
family, and friendships brought him joy and fulfillment. He loved growing up
in Minneapolis with his parents F Robert and Mary, along with his brother,
Elwood. It was during his young years that faith became part of his life
while attending Bethany Lutheran Church. There, he met Mary Ann, the
love of his life for 66 years, together they had two daughters, Dana and
Jane. Prior to marriage, Frank served in the Army and reserves, he was
grateful to serve during peaceful times. For Frank, those 3+ years created
wonderful memories. While attending the U of M, a conversation with a
guidance counselor changed his life in a way he could not have imagined,
suggesting he become an interior designer. His career began at Dayton’s in
1954, and in 1982 he opened his own business, continued working with
clients until his stroke in July 2023. His clients were more than just clients,
they were friends. Frank and Mary Ann loved to travel. A summer was not
complete without a trip to Bayfield and Door County, WI. His family
benefited from his example of love of, faith, family, food, friendship, having
fun, and his creative eye. He welcomed his two sons-in-law, Tom and Joe,
as his own sons, and could not have been more excited when
grandchildren Luke, Elizabeth, and Cristina were born. He enjoyed the
weddings of all three grandchildren and embraced their spouses Sara,
Dan, and Jared, as family. Being able to watch great grandson, Max, grow
was a thrill! Jesus called him home to his loving arms on December 8. A
Celebration of his Life will be on December 29 at Minnehaha Communion
Lutheran Church (4101 - 37 Ave So; Minneapolis 55406), with Visitation at
9:30 am, and Service at 11:00 am, refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers
the family requests donations in Frank’s honor to: The Disabled Vets, Union
